I have fished a lot of small streams in the last couple of weeks. The water levels are starting to creep down but are still great for this time of year. If we can get a few thunderstorms a week for the next month or so we should be in great shape for the fall. Even in areas where the water levels are starting to drop, the water temps remain cool and the fishing bears it out. This has been the best stretch of summer small stream fishing I have seen in a 10 years. It is so good, I have not made it to the Tennessee tailwaters yet this entire summer.
